Description
The Ideal Series is a tribute to the breathtaking artwork of the late, world-famous equestrian artist Orren Mixer (1920-2008) and one of his most well-known and beloved subjects: horses! Orren Mixer was an American artist who was born in Oklahoma in 1920. He is well recognised for his stunning artwork that depicts Western settings, animals, and horses. Following a period of time spent gaining experience as a graphic artist and serving in the Navy, he moved back to his hometown in Oklahoma and established an art studio there. In the 1950s and 1960s, when he was at the height of his popularity, his artwork appeared on the covers of a number of prestigious periodicals, including Western Horseman. In the course of his career, he was commissioned by seven different horse breed clubs to paint the perfect representation of their breed. These images are still used today, and they have permanently established Mixer's position as one of the most accomplished equestrian artists in the annals of history.
The Palomino Horse Breeders of America (PHBA) was formally established in 1941 with the intention of promoting the palomino horses and the involvement of its owners and riders in horse shows, as well as conserving and enhancing Palomino horse bloodlines. Bloodlines from numerous breeds, including Quarter Horse, Paint, Pinto, Thoroughbred, Arabian, Andalusian, and Morgan, are accepted by the Pennsylvania Horse Breeders Association (PHBA), if the horse in question adheres to the association's requirements on its body type, coat colour, and size.
