Description
Handmade (by me) Horsehair Braided Hatband with Tassles and Adjustable Waxed Cord Sliders finished in stainless steel.Ā
This braid is approximately 8 mm wide using an 8 strand intricate braid, giving a solid flat band that doesn't twist. Can be made wider, please message me.
Can also be made with horsehair I have in stock, if you don't have your own
Please advise exact size of outside of hat where hat band is to sit (using a piece of string or similar), and hatband will be made to suit, with some adjustment possible.
Standard size to fit 55 cm - 63 cm outside measurement , unless I am advised otherwise.
Please allow between 2 to 4 weeks to complete.
Ā
How much hair is needed?
I will need at least the thickness of a fat pen (or your finger) , for as long a length as possible to create the hatband in one continuous length.
However, if your tail hair is not that long, then I do have options of joining shorter braided lengths with some beads, which I can show you as I work on your hatband.
If you take several snips from numerous places under the dock (teasing away any shorter hairs) you will quickly gather enough thickness needed without anyone noticing any hair missing, or it re-growing.
